The High Priestess

I first shared this Priestess teaching with my Facebook readers.

The High Priestess tarot card

Card two. She sits between two pillars, one black and one white, with a veil patterned with pomegranates hanging behind her. There's a crescent moon at her feet and a scroll in her lap, and notice the scroll stays rolled. She isn't handing it over.

Upright, the High Priestess is the knowing that arrives before the evidence does. The read you get on a person in the first minute. The answer you already have at 2 a.m. and talk yourself out of by breakfast. This card doesn't ask you to act on it. It asks you to stop pretending you didn't notice.

Reversed, it's that exact habit, checking with everyone else first, searching online for what's already settled in your gut, treating your own read as the last opinion that counts.

I see her in readings all the time. Someone tells me the whole story, then adds quietly, "I kind of knew that already." They almost always did.

When did you last know something before you could prove it, and did you listen?

For a question you’re not ready to say out loud, try a Single Card Pull. I’ll keep the reading private, personal, and prompt.
